Siddhivinayak temple history

Who built Siddhivinayak Temple?

It is believed to be the siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai and was originally built by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil on 19 November 1801.

Deubai didn't have any children and she wanted to build a temple for lord Ganesha; he would grant children to other women who wanted children but couldn't have any. It is believed that the money for the construction of this temple was given by a children's agricultural woman so that with the blessings of siddhivinayak, no woman becomes infertile in her life and attains all children's happiness.

The 2550 temple complex had two 3.6 meter deepamalas, a rest house and living quarters for the caretaker.

It had an adjoining lake, 30× 40 square meters in size on the eastern, dug by Nardulla in the early 19th century to counter years and that is now not part of the temple complex
