History

Bhaktivedanta Swami (Srila Prabhupada) started the hare rama hare krishna temple in 1970 and also Juhu got global recognition when its ISKCON temple was built.

The lovely view of Juhu beach and its serenity attracts ji tata who bought land on Juhu and built that bungalow.

Juhu was called given by the Portuguese, where there lived a small settlement of Bandra.

Joseph Church built by the Portuguese in 1853,

In the time of mahatma Gandhi, he also visited the beach many times. There is a statue of Gandhiji on the beach.

Gandhigram road goes through a beach lane and on it is gandhi bhavan school.


Although natural beauty can be seen here, some people make the place dirty by throwing garbage at this place.

That's why if he goes, don't throw garbage, whatever garbage is there, put it in the dustbin itself.
